Position : Thai language teacher
Place of work: Sai Yai Youth Foundation, Mae Sot District, Tak Province
Salary : According to experience

Responsibilities and Expectations for the Thai Trainer include the following:

1. Delivery of Youth Connect training programs

• Apply Youth Connect curriculum to deliver Thai language trainings with a focus on practical usage in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Create practical and interactive lesson plans based on the Youth Connect curriculum.
• Maintain good relations with partner institutions.
• Communicate with the Education Coordinator any problems or concerns regarding individual students or staff at partner institutions.

2. Assist with entry-level testing and student evaluation

• Deliver and evaluate entry-level exams.
• Grade all assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• Assess student understanding of the training content through written evaluations, observation, and communication with students.
• Give regular feedback to students on their progress.
• Keep up to date records for student attendance, participation, attitude, and grades in the Youth Connect database.
• Assist the education and employment coordinators with student evaluation and apprenticeship placement.

3. Assist with curriculum development

• Assist the Education Coordinator with the development of training and assessment activities that are consistent with the values of Youth Connect.
• Provide feedback to the Education Coordinator about the Youth Connect curriculum.
• Develop new activities and/or training materials that correspond with the Youth Connect training curriculum.
• Translate education materials from English to Thai.

4. Others

• Create the manual of 120 hours practical courses for the PBG Training.
• Conducting the baseline survey for the program training.
• Assist in organizing the Thai basic and intensive curriculum
