VACANCY POST: Administrative & Accounting Assistant

Background information:

The Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (www.apraca.org) is a member-based association established under the auspices of the FAO of the UN, Central Banks, Rural Finance and Agricultural Credit Institutions in the region on October 14, 1977. The current membership of APRACA is with 89 institutions spread over 24 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. APRACA together with its agencies for training and research (APRACA-CENTRAB), consultancy (A-RAFEA) and four centres of excellence is engaged closely with the international agencies, national level government line departments and with the Central Banks of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region to advocate promoting investments and credit flow to the rural and agricultural sector and support the broad objectives of the United Nations.

 

 

  1. Job Descriptions
  • Assist account officer in preparing the payment and receipt vouchers and related financial documents from time to time
  • Assist the account officer for preparing financial statements and monthly/half-year/annual report
  • Assist in establishing the fixed assets control systems and organize electronic filling
  • Typing and reproducing letter, report, proposals, materials, and document of APRACA & its projects
  • Recording the minutes of the meeting
  • Controlling office supplies
  • Perform related duties or other official duties assigned by the Secretary General from time to time

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
   

 

  1. Requirements
    • Qualifications & experience.
      • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar programme
      • Advance knowledge of MS Excel, as well as understanding of other MS Office programs – Ability to accurately review and analyze financial and statistical reports in Excel format is essential.
      • Knowledge and experience in the use/implementation of accounting software
      • Interaction and coordination skills
      • Multitasking ability with efficiency
      • Two years of work experience will be an additional qualification
    • Language
      • Fluency in written and spoken English and Thai are essential.

 

  1. Salary & Benefits
    • Monthly Salary: Negotiation
    • Benefits:  Social Security Fund, Medical allowance, transportation and other benefits
  2. Place of Posting: APRACA Secretariat Office, Bangkok
  3. Probation Period: 6 Months
