Accountant

ADRA Thailand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant based in Chiang Mai, Thailand

 

Proposed start date: January 2023

Application deadline: 31st December 2022

 

Job overview: The Accountant is responsible for working closely with Project Admin Assistant and Cashier to ensure to receive monthly receipts from project on time, review and record all of the entries to accounting software, and generate monthly Financial Report for Projects

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Monthly revision and data entry of project income and expense records.
  • Revision of all receipts and expenses to ensure receipts are in line with ADRA Thailand Finance and Procurement policies
  • Budgets – assist with preparation of budgets and monitor monthly spending and field requests against approved budgets.
  • Transferring of funds to the project each month.
  • Periodic monitoring visits to the field office to support the Admin and Cashier
  • Perform other tasks as required by supervisor

 

Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:

Minimum Skills & Education Required:

 

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in accounting or related field

Experience:

At least 1-year experience in Accounting or positions equal to the position responsibilities

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in spoken and written Thai and English
  • Good typing skills in both English and Thai

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in PC use, Windows applications, email and internet. Ability to accurately review and analyze financial and statistical reports in excel format essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (especially Excel), ADRA accounting package (Sun-Plus) is preferred and ability to work with electronic mail packages such as Outlook
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license is required
