JOB DESCRIPTION
RESTAURANT TRAINER
The Hospitality & Catering Training Centre (HCTC) is a joined venture between: IECD (European Institute of Cooperation And Development) and TBCAF (Tak Border Children Assistance Foundation).
HCTC is a non-profit organization dedicated to Tak border children and their employment through training at the first level of qualification in hospitality professions.
MISSION
The restaurant trainer to provide quality training to HCTC beneficiaries and a professional Food and Beverage service skills, the responsibilities are to deliver the skills to students and insured the quality of service to customers are at highest level. As well as collaborate with the operation manager for the customers relation. The instructor will maintain the restaurant and the equipment in perfect cleaning and maintenance condition. The instructor will also support operation manager and services to be offered to guests of the vocational hotel-restaurant.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES
THEORY AND PRACTICAL TRAINING
Responsible for the instruction of the Service class, both theory and practical learning.
Responsible to create the lesson plans following the pedagogical sheets of HCTC.
Participate in teacher’s activities as requested.
MANAGE THE PASSPORT RESTAURANT (WITH SUPERVISION OF THE OPERATION MANAGER)
Ensure the P&L is completed and accurate every month.
Control the cleanness and hygiene in the restaurant side for 4–5-star hotel standards.
Responsible for the customers relation and marketing (including reservations)
Manage and coach the students in the restaurant.
Ensure a smooth work with students and the F&B team in the operations.
Support the Operation Manager and FB team if needed.
PURCHASES
Responsible for the purchasing and storing of the restaurant consumables and equipment.
ASSET AND INVENTORY
Responsible for checking asset in the restaurant twice per year to report to the Operations Manager and School Director.
Maintain the assets of restaurant areas in good conditions.
Proceed to annual inventories.
REQUIREMENTS
> F&B Vocational Degree
> Must have IT skills for marketing purposes
> Must have 4 to 5-star hotel or restaurant experience
> Must have good communication skills in English and Thai
> Must have leadership skills and display a strong desire to learn and improve
> Must be punctual, reliable, and capable to adapt to the local environment
CONTRACT TYPE:
> 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
> 3 months’ probation.
> Contract under Tak Border Child Assitance Foundation (TBCAF) with accidents insurance included.
