Position Available: Program Logistics Coordinator
The INEB Institute is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to begin in November 2022. The INEB Institute is the Institute for Transformative Learning of the International Network of Engaged Buddhists. It currently runs the 3-month residential School of English for Engaged Social Service (SENS) as well as the One-On-One Mentoring (3OM) and other online programs. This position is temporary (November 2022 – April 2023) with the possibility of long-term extension.
Primary Tasks of the Program Logistics Coordinator:
Makes arrangements for visas, domestic transportation, health insurance, housing, airport pickups and other matters for tutors, students, and others attending the in-person SENS program (January-April 2023).
Directly handles communications with students, volunteer tutors, and teachers about practical matters, including announcements about lodging, fieldtrips, and other matters.
Assists in ensuring that work timelines and tasks—website, social media, brochures, student recruitment, funding, budgeting, program preparation, and others—are attended to in a timely and thoughtful fashion.
Acts as a consultant and assistant to the Academic Director of the INEB Institute.
Helps to find creative solutions to the many challenges of successfully running alternative educational programming.
Required Qualifications:
Fluent in Thai.
Advanced level of English.
Able to listen well and to support the thinking and work of others.
Able to contribute independently and in a friendly manner to the work of a larger team.
Able to handle basic budgeting, accounting, and finance.
Able to manage website and social media.
Highly responsible and able to see the big picture while attending to details.
Able to reside on campus near Bangkok during the three-month SENS course.
Willing and able to travel (domestically and possibly internationally) when needed.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in managing and/or leading groups, programs, or enterprises.
Genuine interest in supporting the work of transformative learning and teaching.
Genuine interest in helping to craft constructive and meaningful responses to the various challenges and crises facing humanity at present.
Genuine interest in rethinking and redesigning work relationships and culture.
Genuine interest in the links between spirituality and social engagement.
Experience in running trainings, workshops, or other educational programs.
Degrees and or experience in a field that would support the work of the INEB Institute.
Training Provided:
The current Logistics Coordinator will provide training and assistance up until late January, 2023.
