Role Purpose:
Asian Resource Foundation (ARF) has been building the capacity of individuals, community-based organizations since its inception in 1996. Its philosophies of empowering Asia and peace building across political and religious barriers underpin all its programs. These approaches, plus its innovative programs, have won it international acclaim from political and religious leaders across Asia. ARF publications and handbooks, both in print and online, are used throughout Asia as a resource tool. The international secretariat based in Bangkok is responsible for programs operating across over 20 Asian and Middle Eastern countries and has three field offices in Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan.
ARF seeks to appoint a Project Coordinator who shall be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of the ARF’s community development, training and humanitarian activities as well as ARF’s training facility at the International Institute of Peace and Development Studies (IIPDS) in Nong Chok. The Project Coordinator works in close partnership with ARF’s members, partners and alumni to ensure that all activities are delivered with high quality in a timely manner, meet objectives and donor’s contract compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the ARF’s community development, humanitarian and training activities
Coordinate necessary support and facilitate IIPDS training programs
Keep updated records and draft donor and annual reports to submit to different stakeholders
Support growth and program development and develop need-based community level programs
Engage, support and strengthen relations with partners and promote new partnerships
Support the fund-raising activities including identifying financial opportunities and developing project proposals
Assist partners in capacity building and networking
Ensure implementation of office policies and practices
Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions of ongoing activities
Supervise support staff members at the IIPDS; ensure their capacity building and periodical review of program and financial status.
Work Experience and qualifications:
Thai National (or able to legally work in Thailand without sponsorship from the ARF)
Language: Fluent Thai and good English communication skills
Ability to communicate with stakeholders from diverse background with cultural, gender-sensitive and professional manner
Prior experience of planning and organizing meeting and events highly desirable
Previous experience in community development and civil society is an advantage
Please note that this position involves working on weekends during the implementation of the project and frequent travel to the project site with compensatory leave as per ARF’s rules and regulations.
Salary: Commensurate to qualifications and experience
