Background of the project
BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Thailand country program was established in 1976 to assist refugees from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and currently assists refugees and migrants from Myanmar. IRC Thailand operates as one of the largest and programmatically diverse humanitarian organizations providing essential services to displaced populations in Thailand. Operating from Bangkok and four field offices in Mae Hong Son, Mae Sot, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi, IRC provides essential services in the health, protection, and livelihoods sectors.
The IRC Thailand Office will be developing its three years country partnership strategy plan from July to September 2022 and requires the support and assistance of an experienced facilitator to lead this process in collaboration of our regional technical advisor and support focal points and country program staff.
Scope of work
The Partnership Strategy Consultant will:
1. Work with Deputy Director of programs and Partnership Management unit and Sector Leads regional partnership focal point to facilitate, consolidate and draft e 2022-2024 country-level partnership strategy.
2. Gather and review all relevant documentation linked to developing our understanding of the local actor landscape and IRC’s added value within it. This includes reviewing current stakeholder analysis, IRC Thailand Strategic Action Plan (SAP), and any existing sector strategies.
3. Based on the review of current stakeholder analysis, organize and facilitate the workshops with program sector leads and relevant internal staff to develop the updated partnership strategy
4. Prepare IRC Thailand partnership plan document based on the inputs from the workshop and consultation with Deputy Director of Programs, Partnership Management Unit and Partnership Regional Advisor.
Deliverables:
• Desk review report of stakeholders and partners
• Data Synthesis of context analysis
• Partnership strategy workshop
• Stakeholder analysis and milestone for each program sector
• Final draft of partnership strategy plan and presentation
Payment Rate and Schedule:
• Payment will be made three times 1) Draft Desk review of partners 2) after facilitation of partnership strategy development workshop 3) upon submission of strategy. Invoices should cite deliverables achieved during the past payment period.
Requirements:
• 8 years’ experience designing and implementing humanitarian/development interventions.
• Master’s degree in a relevant sector or branch of international studies
• Experience leading strategic planning processes for non-governmental organizations especially focus of partnership strategy development
• Highly organized and manages time and information well.
• Able to respond quickly re-prioritize efforts in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to facilitate decision making across multiple actors in a dynamic cross-cultural context.
