Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities in Asia to meet their essential health, humanitarian and development needs. Founded by U.S. doctors in 1998, the organization has grown to serve more than one million people each year. Community Partners International focuses on helping communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement, in remote and hard-to-reach contexts, and marginalized by poverty and exclusion.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide technical support in rolling out the financial system and policies to newly established offices and provide recommendation on modification of practices and procedures when required
Support the team to be incompliance with GAAP, organizational policies, standards and donor requirements in implementation of activities
Regularly monitor all the revenue, payments, receivables and payables
Provide guidance and support to the operation team in establishing and maintaining internal control system in line with the context of operation
Ensure all financial transactions are timely and accurately recorded in the accounting software in line with the GAAP
Ensure quality of all monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts reconciliation and meet deadline
Regularly analyze the quality of all financial data and generate consolidated final statements for internal and external use
Create reports and ensure compliance with the statutory requirement of the country of operation
Regular Responsibilities
Work closely with the country office finance staff to regularly review and analyze the implementation of policies and procedures
Ensure expense are recorded with accurate coding and consistent application of accounting treatment
Revaluation and reconciliation of the accounts are done and uploaded to the accounting software
Ensure expenses are properly allocated as per CPI’s cost policy
Ensure all financial data are accurately and timely uploaded into the Sun system in accordance with CPI policies and practices
Responsible for the regular reconciliation of the accounts and actions are taken for the discrepancies
Work independently and liaise with other departments as necessary in coordinating with the country team
Actively monitor the fund transfer from donors, payments, receivables and payables
Produce financial reports and analysis to monitor the financial status and health of the organization
Timely produce quality consolidated financial reports and final statements
Continuously examine the proficiency of the software and organize the data for real time reporting
Support internal and external audits to CPI
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Organization Representation
Represent CPI in its relationships with funding agencies and partners to ensure sufficient support for planned activities
Represent the country office in presenting the financial, partners and operational situation to HQ
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce. ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified is preferred
At least 5 years' experience in related position with expertise in Project financial management and implementing internal control system
Fluent in written and spoken English and Thai
Advanced knowledge of excel, as well as understanding of word-processing, and power point
Knowledge and experience in the use of accounting software, mainly Sun System
Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
Experience of working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
Ability to coach and provide training to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment, problem solving and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality
