Job Title: Graphic Designer & Video Editor
Job Overview
The Graphic designer & Video editor will be tasked with determining the best ways to visually represent our organization's creative communications. It involves developing creative concepts for design projects including branding, infographics, and editing for video, print, and social media outlets. It also involves working with internal colleagues, and fellow communications team; and understanding the objectives of our organization.
The Graphic designer & Video editor will work on both digital and print design projects as well as short-form video projects. He/she will work collaboratively with communications team members to develop creative media pieces that communicate the benefits of our organization.
Familiarity with the best practices of common social media platforms such as YouTube is also an asset for this position. A successful Graphic designer & Video editor typically exemplifies superior time management skills, is a creative thinker, and works well in a team setting.
Responsibilities of Graphic Designer & Video Editor
Design and Production
- Develop concepts for campaigns and collateral pieces for prints and digital media
- Create and design, art or electronic files, managing the quality of design throughout all project phasesWork collaboratively with the printshop in designing files for print
- Ensure quality control of print projects and digital media
- Ensure consistency with WWF’s branding and identity standards
Video
- Develop, and create engaging promotional, short-form videos to promote WWF Thailand through social media and the website
- Edit, and oversee the editing process of short-form videos to promote WWF Thailand through social media and the website
- Maintain camera and videography equipment and provide guidance for new equipment purchases
- Assist with maintenance/improvements to WWF Thailand YouTube account
- Assist with captioning the videos as needed
- Create motion graphics and digital typography
- Suggest ideas for new video projects to meet WWF Thailand’s goals
- Support and coordinate ad hoc activities that are communications related
Qualifications for Graphic Designer & Video Editor
- A bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a design and video production
- Demonstrated skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Premiere Pro. Proficiency in CG applications like After Effects preferred
- Experience with camera products
- Experience with graphic design and production principles and processes; experience in camera operation, location and set management, audio, and lighting
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
- Proven experience in interpreting project goals and translating them into the media
- Good communication and personal relationship skills, including problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
