Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 20 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as Project Logistic Officer

Duty Station: Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations: Mae Saring, Mae La Ma Luang and Mae La Oon Camp

Duration: Until July 2023

Salary range: 30,000 THB (+benefits)

Main Responsibilities/Duties

1) Manage day-to-day activities of Logistics Unit, including on-the-job training, guidance and supervision of team members.

2) Ensure through the Drivers the correct functioning and maintenance of the project vehicles

3) Regularly update and submit report regarding vehicle repair, fuel consumptions, vehicle log books, etc

4) Review all mechanical repair request and check reasonability of repairs suggested by work shop.

5) Liaise with relevant authorities, transport companies, donors, (I)NGO in the planning and execution of shipping/ transport of materials.

6) Prepare and manage weekly vehicle plan in close collaboration with the Senior Drivers and field team.

7) Ensure Logistic team member clearly understands and perform in their role in the team.

8) Ensure accurate documentation and correct handling of inventory and stock control through physical verification and use of waybills, life files, inventory codes, and any other documentation.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

1. Thai nationality with university degree in relevant dripline with additional relevant training in fields like supply chain management, and ware house management.

2. Previous logistic experience on inventory, and stock control

3. Previous experience in managing vehicle planning to support staffs and equipment transport

4. Experience in management of safety and security aspect for staff, equipment, and facilities

5. Multi-tasked and flexible

6. Good interpersonal and communication skills

7. Good computer skills with MS package (MS Word and Excel and Power Point)

8. Good command of English (Spoken and written) and Fluent in Thai

9. A valid driver license (MC and Car) considered an advantage

10. Vehicle mechanic skill an advantage
