Description: Senior Project Implementation Specialist, USAID/RDMA Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia Activity, Bangkok, Thailand

 

The Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia (E4SEA) Activity (”Activity”) aims to identify challenges for gender equality in the energy sector in Southeast Asia and implement solutions to overcome them. As a regional Activity, E4SEA covers Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, managed from a central office in Bangkok, Thailand. USAID is the funding agency for the E4SEA Activity.

 

Position Description:

CORE International, Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Project Implementation Management Specialist to work closely with the Activity’s Project Manager (Chief of Party) and support 1) the planning of deliverables (ensuring the delivery and quality of specified products and services within the Activity timeline and performance work statement), 2) streamlining team coordination and stakeholder engagement, and 3) championing the values of gender equality in SE Asia’s energy sector.

 

The Senior Project Implementation Management Specialist must be results oriented, skilled in project management, with demonstrated abilities to engage in collaborative problem-solving and coordination in the preparation and delivery of work products to the client within budget and schedule.

 

This is a is full-time position based in CORE’s office in Bangkok, Thailand for the remaining duration of the Activity (April 2022 to August 2023).

 

Responsibilities and Reporting Requirements:

  • Support the Chief of Party (COP), the Deputy COP, Home Office (HO) Officers, and relevant team members to plan and execute the interventions under the Activity

  • Work closely with the COP, DCOP, and relevant team members to develop concrete and practical plans for the Activity

  • Coordinate with relevant team members to deliver impactful interventions

  • Ensure team members are 1) informed and 2) have clear goals

  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with relevant stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes

  • Support the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist to track progress of implementation, key milestones, key deliverables, and successes

  • Support the Activity to meet CORE’s contractual requirements including major deliverables and topical work products (bi-weekly and quarterly reports, annual work plans, annual reports, and ad hoc deliverables)

  • Develop deliverables schedule for major deliverables and coordinate input from various team members and consultants for management review and clearance

 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Demonstrated strong experience in project management and project coordination

  • Master’s degree with at least five years of experience working in project management, consulting or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with seven years of experience in project management, consulting or related field

  • Experience in planning, scheduling and allocating work assignment to team members and outside consultants and coordinating their outputs

  • Experience in managing multiple assignments with competing deadlines and mobilizing resources, as needed, to deliver all work products within budget and time

  • Experience in monitoring progress against plans using project management techniques or other recognized methods.

  • Ability to quickly grasp changing priorities and anticipating client and CORE management’s needs for effective project planning

  • Fluency in spoken and written English

 

 

 Due to COVID-19 restrictions a work at home policy is in place. However, daily reporting to the physical office in Bangkok will be a required once conditions and circumstances surrounding COVID-19 improve. Some regional travel may also be required once the COVID-19 situation improves.
