Project Coordinator – Career Development for Youth
Contract: Fixed term 3-4 month with possibility of extension
Location based: Bangkok with required of travelling to other provinces
Plan International is an international humanitarian, child-centered development organization, advancing children’s rights and equality for girls.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Project Coordinator will assist the project staff to operate and monitor the implementation of assigned projects. The job require financial, administrative and logistics supports to organize activities of Career Development for Youth Program.
Roles and responsibility
Planning
- Plan monthly activities to follow up Detailed implementation Plan (DIP) work plans of the assigned projects.
- Develop work plan for monitoring visits on the ground, meetings, project activities, e.g. Trainings, campaigning, etc.
Management and Operations
- Coordinate and liaison with Department of Employment, institute for Skill Development and Businesses, etc. to promote the active participation in the project effort on employment and job attainment of target youths.
- Facilitate and coordinate with the project staff/ advisor and team of project management; - planning/ implementing/ monitoring/ evaluation and reporting
- Monitor the implementation of activities as per operational and action plans through involvement of all stakeholder in accordance with outlined project proposal.
- Collaborate and coordinate with external consultants and partner agencies in ensuring effective implementation of project activities including service delivery. This will entail organizing formal and informal meetings with all stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of the project activities and maintain the progress log in Plan’s reporting system (SAP).
- Revise and review both progress towards started activities and output mentioned in the project work plan and a detailed implementation plan as well as financial situations
- Assist in preparing the project’s progress and financial reports and ensure timely submission
- Involve in facilitating monthly and quarterly management meetings and planning.
- Maintain records, monitoring and evaluation for efficient systems/project.
- Provide supports to all concerned parties as required
- Support the project’s advocacy effort to push for relevant public policy changes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Advocacy and Network
- Engage with stakeholders and networks related to.
- Promote and advocate the Career Development for Youth Program
- Ensure good collaboration with communicates, relevance stakeholder in addressing children’s rights and improving participatory of children.
Other tasks
- Liaise and develop networks with IOs, NGOs and government agencies for the purpose of information exchange, strategic operations and networking
- Provide supports to all concerned parties as required.
- Perform other task as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
- Understanding background of working with children and community people, and have ability to strengthening community empowerment included with children.
- Ability to work with children, youth, local community, and other stakeholders and networks.
- Ability to assess/ analyst situation and to resolve issues
- Ability to communicate across projects/ programs.
- Act as point of contact for relevant information/ enquires from project team and other related persons.
- Properly handles the administrative support as required.
- All assigned tasks are implemented accurately and timely in compliance with Plan’s corporate financial/ accounting/administration policies and procedures.
