Recruitment for Project Manager

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991 working in 250 projects, 47 countries, and Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation is one of Good Neighbors where the office is located in Bangkok, Thailand.

Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation has been supporting education project in Chiang Rai, with cooperation from Office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC) since October 2016, to provide better education opportunities for ethnic minorities and stateless students in the highland’s region.

Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation is announcing an advertisement for a vacant position for “Project Manager” to support education project in Chiang Rai and to extend the project area in Thailand.

1. Job Title : Project Manager

 

2. Contract Period : Full time contract for 1 year (include 3-months probation)

 

3. Location : Bangkok Business Center, Sukhumvit 63 Road

 

4. Key Responsibilities

4.1 Project operation management

a. Provide overall management for all in-country activities, working in close collaboration with existing local partners;

b. Together with local partners, develop detailed implementation plan for Thailand component in close coordination with project team and the Country Director;

c. Initiate timely start-up of activities based on workplan, project monitoring and closure based on work planning with local partners in Thailand and with the Country Director;

d. Ensure progress against targets (including financial) is achieved as per the timeline and the outputs are contributing to the desired outcomes;

f. Supervise technical and programmatic deliverables of the project based on workplan set out in proposals;

g. Provide and/or arrange coaching and training support for project staff and local partners where needed

 

4.2 Project quality & Reporting

a. Ensure that Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation’s project activity is of a good quality and aligned with GN global initiatives & standards, delivering improved outcomes.

b. Ensure timely and quality donor reporting (narrative and financial) for project components in Thailand as per donor requirements as well as other reports required by Good Neighbors;

c. Participate as a member of the Management Team Meetings and Board Meetings;

d. Support other project-related activities to ensure they are implemented efficiently;

e. Perform relevant administrative tasks such as budget planning and monitoring as required by Good Neighbors.

 

4.3 Expansion of GNTH’s fundraising and programmatic portfolio

a. Responsibility for writing grant proposals to apply for new funding

b. Research on proposal opportunities and analysis of information necessary for grant proposals

c. Seek a new opportunity to build a relationship and network with other organizations for the current project and new project

d. Promote GNTH’s work continuous basis through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, publications, campaigning, and advocacy work (when applicable).

 

5. Work experiences

a. Minimum 7 years of working experience in INGO/Foundation sector

b. Experience in grant proposal writing team, project implementation, and management

c. Minimum 3 years of experience in team management as a leader

d. Experience in working with government funding agencies and UN agencies

e. Experience working with the community-based organization

 

6. Qualification

a. Thai nationality

b. University degree related to international development, social sciences, development studies, development economics, rural development, and any other related field

c. Strong computer skills – MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

d. Full professional fluency in spoken and written Thai and English

e. Work with respect to persons from varied backgrounds across international teams

 

7. Working Condition

a. Starting Date June 1st, 2022

b. Monday – Friday (5 days)

c. 08:30 – 17:00 (7.5 hrs / day)
