  1. Background of consultancy assignment/ project

 

WWF Thailand HR department is in the transition period of recruiting new staff. The department is looking for a short-term consultant who has solid experience working with INGOs and can rapidly provide day-to-day HR support. The consultant will work on a variety of HR issues and provide much needed support, working closely with the Country HR Manager and the Director of Partnerships and Operations.

 

  1. Objective of the consultancy

 

The consultant will ensure that WWF Thailand’s fundamental HR functions are supported in a timely and effective manner. These functions are contract management, recruitment process management, coordination of visas and work permits, coordination with service providers and staff benefits such as provident fund, and other HR tasks as assigned.

 

The consultant will also oversee and coordinate HR-related activities with WWF Foundation – a partner organization of WWF Thailand.

 

 

  1. Scope of work

 

To support the HR department, WWF Thailand on day-to-day issues including, but not limited to:

  • Oversee day-to-day tasks such as, management of recruitment process, and contract management from renewal to end of contract.
  • Coordinate with project managers to support staffing and HR-related needs.
  • Support foreign staff in ensuring that visas and work permits are renewed and up to date.
  • Manage LinkedIn account of WWF Thailand in order to be up to date for applicants.
  • Monitor and act as traffic light to screen emails from WWF Network and external stakeholders at hr.admin@wwf.or.th
  • Provide support to prepare WWF TH for future physical re-opening, including preparing re-opening guidelines and procurement of necessary health and safety equipment. (It is expected that re-opening in a hybrid mode may be possible in May, depending on the situation.)
  • Set-up orientation process for new staff including coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Support in setting-up knowledge management system for HR and Admin.
  • Work with WWF Foundation to support on staff employment and HR-related issues.
  • Other assigned tasks as agreed with direct line manager.

 

4.         Outputs/ deliverable of performance and time schedule

 

The direct line manager will agree with the consultant on the tasks to be completed on a weekly basis.

 

Upon the end of the consultancy, key responsibilities as specified above in section 3 must be met and approved by the direct line manager in written.

 

 

5. Required profile:

 

  • Knowledge/Expertise: Knowledge of Thai Labor law and INGO regulations in Thailand;    understanding of development and INGO sector is highly desirable

 

  • Experiences: HR experience is required; Experience with an INGO or development            organization is highly desirable

 

  • Languages and other skills: Good oral and written communications skills in Thai and English; strong presentation skills is desirable

 

  • Competencies: Multi-tasking while able to prioritize to meet deadlines; energetic and can work independently as well as within a team; open-minded and service-oriented; Excellent interpersonal skills and exposure to working within a multi-cultural environment.
