RCCE Liaison Officer
Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province.
Work locations: Based in Mae Sariang, with occasional travel to liaise with RCCE activities in other temporary shelters.
Work Contract: Until 31st August 2022 (Extension possibility providing ability project funding)
Salary range: 30,000 (+benefits)
Objective(s)
The Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Liaison Officer will assist the RCCE Coordinator by liaising with RCCE stakeholders and RCCE Focal Points border wide to promote community participation through RCCE activities, to gather and share best practices with an aim to strengthen COVID19 related RCCE approaches, vaccination campaigns, health promotion and services

Main Responsibilities/ Vaccine campaign and health promotion through RCCE approaches:
Support the RCCE Coordinator in liaising RCCE approaches and activities with stakeholders and RCCE focal points in 9 temporary shelters.
Support and help coordinate the roll out of community feedback mechanism in 9 temporary shelters.
Help coordinating and monitoring RCCE activities and basic data from 9 camps,
Identify, analyse and share best practices and success stories on RCCE activities within Pillar members to strengthen RCCE activities.
Support RCCE Supervisor in providing RCCE and feedback mechanism trainings, and RCCE briefings to relevant target groups.
Contribute to community engagement activity planning for different target groups.
Contribute to the discussion as to how MI can inform changes and im-prove vaccination campaign and relevant services based on community feedback.
Contribute to reviewing, adjusting, and improving risk communication and key messages regularly, based on community feedback and monitoring data.
Attend relevant meetings as assigned.
Support RCCE Coordinator and Assistants in reviewing news and information gathered to draft weekly updates.
Coordinate with RCCE focal points covering 9 shelters regarding feedback received through the feedback mechanisms.
Conduct research on topics as assigned.
Contribute to proofreading of translated documents in relevant languages.
Contribute to key message/IEC materials formulation based on community feedback, existing and new information issued by WHO and Thai health authorities, or other sources, according to the local context.
Share best practices and lessons learned regarding RCCE approaches from other shelters with health care service providers in the shelters.
Support the health care service providers with best practices and similar.
Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, development, sociology, psychology or similar field.
Experience
Experience of working with the community members in development, humanitarian or public sector.
Previous experience in developing IEC materials using different methods and approaches.
Experience working with feedback and response mechanism considered an advantage.
Experience of facilitating meetings, group discussions, information sharing sessions with various target groups would be an asset.
Knowledge and skills
Possess research, analytical and report writing skills, with an enthusiasm to learn new things.
Familiarity with information management skills.
Ability to communicate in at least one of the main languages used in the shelters: Karen. Karenni, or Burmese (more than one language considered a clear advantage)
A good command of English and fluent in Thai, both spoken and written.
Good skills with Microsoft office package.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills, able to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and with external partners and organisations.
Excellent coordinating, prioritizing and organizational skills, able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to a high standard and to deadline.
Highly motivated, self-starter able to take initiative and lead a team or process.
Highly motivated with strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills Willing to travel for work when required.
