Job Description

Job Title: Communications Officer

Responsible to: CEO

Work hours: 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm

Salary: 35-50,000 (depending on experience)

We are looking to hire a dedicated Communications Officer to join our growing team. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity materials, respond to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinate promotional events.

To succeed as the Communications Officer, you should be able to think creatively, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Thai is a bonus). A Bachelor’s Degree with experience is strongly desired as is a passion for social impact. 

 

Main role:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audiences.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, publications, social media posts, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
  • Manage social media and Google ads.
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them.
  • Ensure digital marketing content aligns with our brand’s identity and message, and assist with marketing campaigns as needed.
  • Keeping the website up to date, overseeing blog posts from trainees, developing content.
  • Overseeing, collecting and developing content for monthly internal and external newsletters.
  • Overseeing the preparation of communications materials including brochures, flyers, posters, adverts, and promotions for both printed to online use.
  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
  • Proficiency in design and publishing software is an additional bonus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in a communications role.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop) is a bonus
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills (English is a must, Thai is a bonus).
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms
