Baan Dek Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization based in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. BDF provides access to education, health, and child protection services to more than 2,000 vulnerable children living in urban slums and construction site camps in Thailand. Through its direct service provision programs and systemic impact strategy, BDF protects and empowers marginalized children and their families to become more self-sustainable, and provides opportunities for a better future.
Dao Ethical Gifts (DEG)* is a social enterprise model powered by Baan Dek Foundation, which empowers women in-need through work readiness skills, financial literacy, and sewing training to enable them to produce ethical gifts and generate an extra source of income when facing personal or economic crisis. A percentage of the profits generated by DEG go to BDF’s programs to support vulnerable children, generating a sustainable source of income for the foundation. DEG offers gifts that truly give back, with a measurable impact on communities, complementing CSR strategies of the corporate market. Some of our clients include L’Oreal, Michelin, Lazada, Ravayadee Hotels, Wonderfruit, Amadeus, and Valneva.
* Dao Ethical Gifts Co., Ltd. is currently registered as a company and is in the process of applying for social enterprise status under Thai law.
Job Description
Job Title: Dao Ethical Gifts Business Developer
Type of Contract: Full-time position, 1 year (with possibility of extension)
Department: Partnerships
Location: Bangkok, Thailand (with possibility of occasional work trips to
the Chiang Mai office)
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented sales/marketing profile to expand the DEG business model and support the Partnerships Team with its networking capability and fundraising initiatives. This role also includes duties related to managing finances in the Bangkok office. The position directly reports to the Partnerships Manager, with oversight from DEG’s Founder.

Required Skills
Other Requirements
Nationality: Thai or ability to work legally in Thailand
Experience (Preferred): Working with children (or for an organization that supports children) is considered an asset
Language: Fluent in Thai and English
Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and evenings
Remuneration: Starting at 30,000 THB (to be defined based on experience and qualifications)
