I. Presentation of organisation
Solidarités International is a French humanitarian organisation present in Thailand since 2007. The mission currently consists of emergency and post-emergency programs in Mae La Temporary Shelter. This position will contribute to “the improvement of the living conditions of refugees and Thai host communities along the Thai-Burma border”.
II. Responsibilities and Tasks:
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Translator will:
Translate documents relating to Solidarités International activities
Upon request, write letters and official documents,
Make recommendations on proper language use and expressions to expatriates according to local customs and contexts,
Provide interpretation during meetings and/or act as a spokesperson
Propose to the Solidarites International members a daily press review
Provide language instruction to Solidarités International members

Professional experience: At least one year on a similar position (translator, multi-lingual secretary, embassy attaché etc.)
IT skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is mandatory
Personal qualities: Strong organization, interpersonal and reporting Skills. Able to respect tight deadlines.
Location of position: Mae Sot, Tak Province
Salary range: 26’633 – 33’550 THB Gross monthly
