Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 20 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as Admininistrative & Human Resources Officer

 

ADMINISTRATIVE AND HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (AHRO)

 

Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts with occasional visits in the field

Duration: 10 months with potential for extension

Salary range: 30,000 THB/month (+benefits)

Supervisor/Supervisee: Project Coordinator / Administrative and Human Resources Assistant

 

Main Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Prepare for and arrange recruitments as well as all contracting procedures for relevant staff.

  2. Ensure staff understand organizational policies and are clear about work responsibilities.

  3. Ensure and safeguard complete HR documentation for all staff including maintaining and updating relevant database(s) covering staff data, benefit use and leave records etcetera.

  4. Liaise with finance department on salary and benefit support as well as insurance registration.

  5. Support in HR-related investigations, related documentation, disciplinary action and follow-up.

  6. Manage target location access approval for HR and materials from relevant local authorities.

  7. Ensure Visa and Work permit processes are made timely and correctly with authorities.

  8. Facilitate translation and submission of reports to local authorities.

  9. Facilitate and register incoming/outgoing correspondence and requests with relevant project staff.

  10. Ensure, and safeguard, confidentiality in all aspects of work

  11. Provide workplans and reporting in a timely manner to Supervisor.

 

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably with additional studies in related fields like Human Resources, Business Administration or similar.

  2. 2-3 years of experience with human resources and administration preferably in an (I)NGO setting.

  3. High sense of integrity and confidentiality with ability to work and cope with stress.

  4. Strong in analytical thinking, prioritization of tasks and problem-solving skills

  5. Good computer skills with MS package (MS Word and Excel and Powerpoint)

  6. Good command of English (spoken and written) and fluent in Thai.

  7. Ability to speak, read and write Sgaw Karen is considered an advantage.

 

Starting date: As soon as possible.
