ActionAid is a global movement of people working together to further human rights for all and defeat poverty. ActionAid Thailand is a non-profit organization that works to strengthen the capacity and active agency of people living in poverty and exclusion to assert their rights. ActionAid Thailand is a human rights-based organization focusing on four main areas of work including Education & Youth, Women Rights and Empowerment, Land & Natural Resource Rights, and COVID-19 Response and Recovery.
Proposal Objective:
ActionAid Thailand is implementing the project of Securing rights to land and natural resources for landless and land-poor communities in three regions of Thailand, or EU Land Rights Project. The purpose of this evaluation is to measure the achievements and gaps in outputs level related to activities and inputs of the project. This would be consisted of desk study, field visits, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and interview key stakeholders and beneficiaries, as well as participating in some events of the project happening during final evaluation period.
Period of Performance:
The estimated period of performance for this evaluation is for 4 months, which is tentatively started from between 1 September 2021 until 31 January 2022.
Position Description:
ActionAid Thailand is seeking an External Evaluation Consultant to lead this evaluation effort and to set up the evaluation team achieving the Final Evaluation of EU Land Rights Project.
Responsibilities:
The External Evaluation Consultant will be responsible to develop the final Assessment and overall team coordination, including ensuring that team members adequately understand their roles and responsibilities, and for conducting/ overseeing data/information collection, and reporting responsibilities. The Consultant will work closely with EU Land Rights project manager and the partner organizations of the project. The activity will be overseen by Project Management Team (PMT) of EU Land Rights project. Staff of EU Land Rights project will be assisted to contact the key-stakeholders and beneficiaries, as well as facilitating during field visit.
