About the program
ASEAN–Australia Counter Trafficking (ASEAN-ACT) continues Australia’s long running collaboration with ASEAN and its member states to end human trafficking in the region. The program is a ten-year investment principally working with strengthening the justice sector response to trafficking in persons, while advancing the rights of victims. The program aims to open up new partnerships with allied government agencies, civil society and business. We engage with all 10 ASEAN Member States in some capacity and have national-level programming in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar (currently on hold), the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Overview
ASEAN-ACT has established communication platforms to reach and engage a broad audience including government, non-government organisations, civil society, and other counter-human trafficking stakeholders in the ASEAN region. In addition to digital storytelling, we have also created a resource portal for relevant research and lead virtual webinars that brings together a range of expertise.
Purpose of the role
The position will coordinate communications across seven country teams in the region, and support implementation of communication and engagement strategies. The position has the potential to be located in one of the Country Offices working as part of a diverse team, across multiple locations.
