Provide administrative and communications support to the Office of the Regional Director
Support development of strategic plans and initiatives for the regional and country offices in Asia Pacific and the Caucasus.
Manage key regional data to track trends, issues and opportunities.
Organize and prepare reports, presentations and webinars
Provide support for Asia Pacific regional events, summits, meetings and conferences.
Provide support for communications efforts, which include collaboration with team members appropriate departments to improve the internal and external communication efforts of the organization and provide input for various newsletters and web pages.
Provide research and administrative support for the FHI 360 Environment and Climate Change Initiative for ECC events, task force meetings, webinars, conferences, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Initiative and discretion in judging and managing confidential matters, materials, and sensitive issues.
Considerable skills in oral and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of staff, representatives of donors and collaborating agencies, individuals from diverse cultures and the public.
Ability to work independently, and to organize, coordinate and effectively process work assignment, while providing attention to details.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities. Ability to manage stressful and demanding workload.
Resourceful through technology, research skills, and relationship building among several organization teams and units and professional organizations to resolve problems and initiate enhancements.
Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
Budget management skills.
Knowledge of computer processing, including Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, and Database.
Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues.
TYPE AND NATURE OF CONTACTS:
Work closely Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, Country Directors, APRO Sr. Management Team, and external parties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normally working in the office, but s/he should be able to travel to places / destinations as required by nature of work.
Master’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Public Relations or related field from a recognized university and 1-3 years relevant experience in and executive assistant capacity; or BS/BA in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Public Relations or related field from a recognized university and 3-5 years relevant experience in and executive assistant capacity; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
