PSYCHOSOCIAL OFFICER

COERR FOUNDATION is a Thai NGO established for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.

COERR is looking for experienced personnel to fill the post of Psychosocial Officer for Bangkok field office.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. Provide counselling to psychosocial cases as individual/group at the center, home, immigration detention center or rehabilitation center with progress report.

2. Assist to develop /implement psychosocial activities for clients with specific needs.

3. Assist/ facilitate/coordinate psychological cases to access the proper treatment & care particularly on SGBV, HIV, Child Protection cases.

4. Facilitate for mental status examination (MSE), psychological testing/ evaluation and other intellectual assessment, and follow up treatment & care.

5. Refer complication cases for further treatment, support and care to hospitals/other organizations/habitation/other Thai local agencies and follow-up.

6. Assist the Senior Psychosocial Officer/Trainer to provide training for target groups on issues i.e. parental training for a special child, child development and others as required.

7. Prepare and submit monthly situation (narrative and statistics) report of activities and cases managed.

8. Perform other duties as required and requested

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Thai Nationality.

2. Bachelor or master degree in counseling psychology or other related fields.

3. Two to three years work experience in the field of psychology or psychosocial support.

4. Open-mindedness, flexible and has the ability to cope with stressful situations and clients.

5. Ability to work under pressure and strong teamwork.

6. Good spoken, written and comprehension of English language with experience in a multi-cultural environment. Good command on written English psychological report writing is required.

7. Good computer skills (Word, Excel and MS office family).
