Organizational Setting

The Mae Tao Clinic (MTC) is an internationally renowned community-based organization (CBO) that provides and advocates for an equitable and essential health system, education and protection for vulnerable and displaced people living in the Thai-Burma border area and Eastern Burma. MTC is located in Mae Sot, Tak Province that addresses the needs and human rights of these people through comprehensive programs and a collaborative approach with local, national, international and government bodies.

Mae Tao Clinic is currently looking for:

Position: Marketing Coordinator

Under the authority of: Director of Mae Tao Clinic, and Deputy Director of Community Operations

Supervises: Deputy Director of Community Operations and Fundraising and Grants manager

Working Location: Mae Sot, Thailand

Starting Date: as soon as possible

1. Main Objective

Fundraising and Grants team plays a core role at Mae Tao Clinic. Its main responsibility is to enable organization’s operations by raising funds, liaising with donors to build strong relationship and trust, developing potential donors and platforms to diversify funding resources, such as creating items for sales and holding events to promote MTC and getting engaged with the community. The ultimate goal of the team is to enable MTC to be able to continue carrying out essential services in a sustainable manner. F&G team has aimed to reduce MTC’s reliance on donor grants by diversifying its funding resources to be more self-reliant so that less affected by external factors.

Over the years, engagement with Thai society has been growing and the F&G team has identified needs for the Thai speaking marketing coordinator to develop and maintain the relationship with the Thai community. The Marketing Coordinator will support the team with developing its funding strategies, identifying potential donors, particularly the CSR, and maintaining a good relationship with the Thai community.

2. Specific Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Assist with preparing grant proposals and approaching potential donors

• Monitor in-kind donations; liaise with Thai donors and send updates on the use of donation
• ติดตามการบริจาคในรูปแบบต่าง ๆเช่น ติดต่อประสานงานกับผู้บริจาคชาวไทยรวมถึงส่งรายงานอัพเดตเกี่ยวกับการบริจาค
• Seek the opportunity to collaborate and develop a relationship with Thailand-based companies (CSR)
• แสวงหาโอกาสทางงบสนับสนุนและพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้ให้ทุนในประเทศไทย
• Assist to update the website, Facebook and Instagram in Thai language regularly
• เป็นผู้ช่วยในการอัพเดทเว็บไซต์, Facebook และ Instagram สำหรับภาษาไทยอย่างสม่ำเสมอ
• Translate documents and events if necessary
• แปลงานเอกสารต่าง ๆ และกิจกรรมอื่น ๆ หากจำเป็น
• Support to host visitors when Thai translation needed
• ให้สนับสนุนและดูแลผู้ที่เข้ามาเยี่ยมชมพื้นที่ที่มาจากชุมชนไทย
• Assist with coordinating donor reports (project, bi-annual, annual)
• ช่วยเหลือในด้านการประสานงานรายงานของผู้บริจาค (โครงการ รายงานครึ่งปี รายงานประจำปี)
• Be the first point of contact for small/individual donors from the Thai communities
• เป็นคนลำดับแรกในการติดต่อสำหรับผู้บริจาครายย่อย หรือ ผู้บริจาครายบุคคลจากชุมชนไทย
• Answer donor queries (Thai language)
• ตอบคำถามผู้บริจาค (ภาษาไทย)

3. Position Requirements

• Having knowledge and background (at least 1 year of work experience) of marketing/communication/fundraising/community development/business
• มีความรู้และพื้นหลังเกี่ยวกับ การตลาด การสื่อสาร และการระดมทุน
• Absolute written and spoken level of Thai language
• มีทักษะการสื่อสารทั้งพูดและเขียนภาษาไทย
• Good ability to communicate in English
• สามารถสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้ระดับดี
• Understanding the Thai-Burma border situation is desirable
• มีความเข้าใจสถานการณ์ชายแดนไทย-พม่า
• Knowing the Karen and/or Burmese language is plus
• หากมีความสามารถในด้านภาษากะเหรี่ยงหรือพม่าจะพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ
• Good ability to use Microsoft office
• สามารถใช้ Microsoft office ได้ในระดับดี
• Desire to learn about social media management
• มีความสนใจเกี่ยวกับสื่อ และการจัดการ
• Interest in interacting with foreign visitors and donors
• มีความสนใจในการสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์กับผู้บริจาคและผู้เยี่ยมชมต่างชาติ
• Ability to work independently and to use initiative
• ความสามารถในการทำงานอย่างอิสระและใช้ความคิดริเริ่ม

Administrative arrangements:

Mae Tao Clinic is a low resource environment.

A salary of 15,000 THB/month will be offered.
