ADRA Thailand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Nurse based in Mae Chan, Chiang Rai, Thailand for Stateless Ethnic Minority Health and Integration Project (SHIP).

Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, the Nurse will support project implementation through delivery of health care support for beneficiaries of the Stateless Ethnic Minority Health and Integration Project (SHIP). The project will run a mobile clinic under close collaboration and partnership of the district public health office. The nurse is required to frequently travel to the field in Mae Fa Luang District.
Responsibilities:
Help organize developmental activities for young children below the age of 5 years and further promote children’s learning according to their developmental stages.
Conduct regular health check-ups, providing medication and conduct regular nutritional assessment for minority groups, elderly and children in the villages of the target group.
Coordinate with the sub-district health promotion centres, the sub-district administration office, Mae Fah Luang Hospital, Chiang Rai Provincial Health Office
Ensure the referral and treatment of urgent medical cases is addressed by identifying the available facilities and procedures in coordination with the health promotion centres.
Establish and regularly update individual medical files particularly for children and mothers.
Provide regular updates on the support provided (number of patients, diagnosis, treatment, follow-ups, results, etc.) to the sub-district health promotion centre and project staff including updates on any issues affective or related to project implementation.
Deliver health related awareness sessions to the project beneficiaries.
Encourage and contribute to clear and open communication, explaining complex matters in an informative, inspiring and motivations way.
Ensure the operational frameworks are adhered to and all documents are maintained appropriately.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
University Degree in Nursing with at least three years of relevant professional experience
Experience:
At least five years of relevant professional experience
Early child development
Community nursing and health care provision
Language Skills:
Fluent in Thai language
Able to speak local languages is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in a Christian context
Valid nursing license
Computer literate
Experience working with community groups
Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
Ability to interact in a sensitive and diplomatic way
High level of flexibility and self-motivation
