This role will be based in Bangkok at our office in WeWork (T-One Building on Sukhumvit Soi 40).
Job Summary
As Grants and Contracts Manager, you will be part of an exciting new project at DAI called the Digital Asia Accelerator. The Digital Asia Accelerator is a three-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development. The project aims to improve and increase society’s and small businesses’ ability to use digital technology in Southeast Asia and Mongolia. We do this by designing and implementing cybersecurity and digital literacy Activities. Examples of Activities include awareness raising campaigns, trainings and innovation challenges.
The Grants and Contracts Manager will be based in Bangkok and report directly to the DAA Project Director in Bangkok. The Grants and Contracts Manager will manage the development and administration of grants and subcontracts with program staff, grantees and relevant staff at DAI headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Digital Asia Accelerator procurement processes (Requests for Proposals, Requests for Applications, grants, subcontracts, etc.) and assure the most reasonable, expeditions, and appropriate procurement choices were made pursuant to DAI’s Field Operations Manual;
Draft and/or edit Scopes of Work (SOWs), Requests for Applications (RFAs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs);
As needed, coordinate procurement-related details with local partner organizations in Southeast Asia and Mongolia on the design, implementation, and monitoring of project activities;
Provide strategic advice on activity administration and identify opportunities to innovate operationally within the DAA activity cycle (speed/simplification/streamlining);
Coordinate closely with technical and finance teams in Washington, DC and Bangkok, Thailand to track activity and financial performance.
Requirements/Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in grants and contracts with an international development organization
Experience working with USAID-funded initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, International Development, or a related field
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to execute grants and contracts
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with fluency in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly adaptable and efficient, quick learner
Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter
Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
