Responsibilities of the advertised position:

Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for a professional and dedicated  Impact Advisor who will commit to contribute to the overall goals of the Impact and Innovation Team and provide specialized support for BDF programs in the Bangkok office.

 

The employee will work under direct supervision of the Impact and Innovation Team Manager, and will collaborate with Directors, Program Managers and Social Workers in Chiang Mai, in addition to the other Impact Advisors based in Bangkok.

 

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:

As Impact Advisor, the employees mission objective will consist in developing tools and empower the team to endorse the respective positions and responsibilities.

 

As part of the Impact and Innovation team, provide support where needed for:

  1. Developing programs including:
    1. Research into frameworks for programming, design data collection tools to assess needs (eg. surveys, or participatory workshops)
    2. Program design and coordination (eg. editing logframes and monitoring plans)
    3. Develop monitoring tools
    4. Data entry and analysis for program monitoring when new tools have been developed, in order to provide Program Managers with usable finished products
    5. Research and preparation of life skill and educational content and curriculum
    6. Develop guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures
    7. Support team training of field implementation staff
    8. Supporting the Partnerships team to report on program impact, providing data and first draft reports
    9. Supporting the Partnerships team with new proposals of programs, or program developments for new funding
  2. Support implementation of programs developed by Baan Dek Foundation: educational activities designed to support mostly migrant communities working on construction sites
     

As a member of Baan Dek Foundation team, the employee is responsible for:

  1. Ensure that the programs implemented are of good quality, and are relevant to the mission and vision of the foundation (ie. Improve and demonstrate social impact)
  2. Respect commitments with donors and embrace the overall vision of the Foundation and its humanitarian commitment.
  3. Promote a constructive and productive working environment among the staff. active support of teamwork and dialogue among the staff and with beneficiaries of all projects.
  4. Support the management team in day-to-day missions and projects

The employee shall observe the organization's values and objectives and will commit to facilitate all procedures and on-field activities for a sound management of Baan Dek Foundations programs.

 

Required skills:

Qualifications:

Nationality:  Thai national

Language: Native Thai, Fluent spoken and written English.

EducationA degree or other education in a relevant field, such as social science, political science, international development, public health, social work, education, etc.


Experience/skills desired:

  • Experience in project coordination, research, or creation of organizational/instructional tools considered an asset
  • Experience developing Monitoring & Evaluation systems, tools, or with data analysis
  • Experience with non-profit organizations or in the humanitarian sector an asset
  • MS Office including excel, powerpoint / experience using professional emailing/calendar system
  • Project management / coordination skills
  • Creation of organizational/instructional tools considered an asset.
  • Designing/managing/evaluating social development programs
  • Developing educational content (supported by research / evidence base)
  • Developing Monitoring & Evaluation systems and tools considered an asset.
  • Experience with non-profit organizations or in the humanitarian sector considered an asset
  • Understanding of child protection / safeguarding
  • Experience working within standards, frameworks and building network for organization

 

Soft skills necessary:

  • Dynamic, creative, and demonstrates proven skills to work and engage with children.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
  • Ability to use initiative, keep overall goals in mind, leading where necessary to solve problems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to influence people, even those they do not work directly with
  • Ability to support change in the organization, and provide/give constructive feedback.
  • Highly motivated, flexible and interested in humanitarian missions.
  • Reliable and respectful of local culture.

 

Working hours:  Full time - Monday to Friday (flexible schedule) and occasionally on weekend & evenings

 

Salary: Starting at 25,000 THB (to be defined based on experience and qualifications)
