Program:

The Enhancing Equality in Energy for Southeast Asia activity (“Activity”) will identify challenges for gender equality in the energy sector in Southeast Asia and implement solutions to overcome them over the period August 2020 to August 2023.  As a regional Activity, implementation will occur in Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, managed from a central office in Bangkok, Thailand. This is a is full-time position based in CORE’s office in Bangkok, Thailand.  

 

Position Description:

CORE International is seeking a qualified Administration and Logistics Specialist (“Specialist”) to support this three-year Activity. The Specialist will provide logistical and administrative support to the Activity team in Bangkok, regional representatives, and long-term and short-term technical advisors.  Specialist will organize files; support office archiving; manage schedules and calendars; assist in the preparation of reports, documents, and invoices; assist in event planning and meetings set up; and provide overall general staff support for all Activity personnel. 

The Specialist must be results oriented, with demonstrated ability to engage in collaborative problem-solving. Specialist must have excellent writing, listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Specialist must have the ability to work collaboratively across offices and departments and with Senior Leadership to advance a shared mission.

The Specialist will be based in Bangkok, Thailand for the duration of the Activity (August 2020-August 2023).

 

Responsibilities and Reporting Requirements:

  • Report directly to the Chief of Party (COP) and the Finance/Accounting Specialist for the Activity in the Bangkok Office.
  • Coordinate all work and deliverables with the USAID Activity Officers through the COP and the Finance/Accounting Specialist.   
  • Provide general office support and records keeping including scanning and archiving, and document management and retrieval.
  • Support the development of briefing materials, briefing books, and information packets for presentations as required by the Activity.
  • Prepare schedules for visits by high-level officials and assist with advance work for event planning including scheduling and material production.
  • Provide general office support to all Activity personnel, as needed, including logistic arrangements such as lodging, event space rental, ground transportation, site visit arrangements, and ordering of supplies. 

 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in administration and logistics support services.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and problem solving.
  • Ability to support a variety of professionals and work with the general public, private sector, public sector, NGOs and/or other stakeholders and associations.
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to other cultures and experience with international programs and donors. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other software.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
