The purpose of the job is to help us achieve our aims and objectives through the implementation of a programme to use participatory research to better understand the access of minority and indigenous women to Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (SHRS) in Kachin and Northern Shan State of Myanmar and Ratanakiri/Mondulkiri Provinces in Cambodia. The post holder will also contribute to MRG’s core principles and strategy and help develop new programmes in the Asia region.

Reports to: Deputy Director
Salary: Grade C, adjusted for cost of living in location
Location: Thailand, Cambodia or Myanmar. Location must have low risks of interference or interruptions, good internet access and good travel connections to programme countries. Post holder must be able to travel to project locations on work related visits without hindrance
Duration: This is an 80% post (i.e. 4days per week). This post will run from 24th February 2020 until the staff member on maternity leave returns to work. Handover from the post holder will need to take place prior to the start date.
Main duties and responsibilities
Planning
Develops and implements plans to deliver MRG’s programme entitled ‘Enhancing Quality and Universal access to Indigenous People’s reproductive healthcare (EQUIP)’ within the objectives set by the Deputy Director, in charge of overseeing the implementation of the entire project, providing supervision, advice and support to all other team members and partners. Contributes to the development and design of new programmes for additional work in the region and may then deliver new programmes if successfully developed and funded.
