OVERVIEW

The FutureSense Foundation is a charity registered in the UK (Charity No. 1132101) that supports community development in some of the poorest regions of the world.

 

Through our programmes and initiatives, we work towards achieving a ‘Fairer World’, a world in which each person across the globe is equal and enjoys the same rights, freedoms and opportunities. 

 

We are Focusing on Education, Child Welfare, Healthcare, and Livelihoods, each country builds programs that are based around the needs of the communities we work with. Through these programs, we offer opportunities for individuals and groups to travel overseas and do something worthwhile while working to forward our organizational objectives and ensure more sustainable living for our communities. Students’ opportunity during summer and oversea experience (Turing Collage/School) and participants opportunities includes a gap year program (GapGuru), Programs for groups (Challenges Abroad).

 

FutureSense currently has programs operating across 7 countries and supporting over 100 local community-based partners and NGO projects. Most of our participants work alongside local teachers in schools or work with local NGOs involved with community development and in child welfare or health care.

 

We are looking for a Programme lead Education and livelihood to join our team working alongside our participants and partners, to continue providing long-term program delivery to uplift the communities we work with. The Partnership

 

Coordinator is someone who takes initiative in their role, always looking for ways to strengthen our existing partnerships and projects, while also seeking to build new connections and relationships. The Programme lead Education and livelihood is not afraid of asking questions, seeking answers, and putting themselves out into the community as a representative of the work we do. The Programme lead Education and livelihood will work as an important part of the full in-country team as we all focus on our organizational goals and increase community impact.

 

Managing Relationships

  • Foster relationships with local partners and assist the Program Manager in identifying needs and managing programs to meet the needs of the communities we work in.
  • Ensuring there is clear communication within the team and between the team and our partners (including updating documentation)
  • Participating in team and group meetings, as well as yearly and event-based partner meetings
  • Assisting with translation during partner meetings and other material
  • Working with interns as needed for further community research as the programs grow

 

Program Support

  • Working with Country Operations Manager (COM) to arrange transportation for participants (including airport pick-up, transportation to work sites, and any travel or miscellaneous travel arrangements) when necessary
  • Media support and documentation of participants experience and project work
  • planning programme responsibility for groups to ensure we delivering quality and sustainable project to local community.
  • Educate all staff and Participants in the local culture and practices to ensure respect and appropriate behaviour, through means such as language lessons, cultural tours and orientations, precinct tours and health and safety orientations
  • Helping with the coordination of program schedules and aiding participants in meeting their program objectives (including seeking out additional materials, assisting them in the learning space, etc.)
  • Providing local support (for example, finding a doctor’s office, pharmacy, etc.) and helping ensure participants are safe and having a good experience
  • Working with our partners and participants to support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all programmes and projects.

  

You must be able to translate from English to Thai and Thai to English during partner meetings, for workshop material and for basic language lessons.
