Position: Organic Farming Advisor

Contract duration: 1.2.2023 to 31.12.2023, extendable
Reporting to: Deputy Director of OASIS
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Provision of technical advice (50%) on organic farming to OASIS members on topics such as
a. Plant nutrition
b. Seed programme
c. Water management
d. Postharvest management (drying)
2. Coordination of the Organic Rice project with Reismühle Nutrex (RMN) (50%)
a. Annual planning with project partners
b. English reporting along the logical framework (Annual Report and Half Yearly Report)
c. Conducting annual farmer satisfaction survey
d. Guidance of service providers (S2i, living income)
e. Communication with RMN and Helvetas
f. Public relation
g. Guidance of visitors and missions
Qualifications:
- Master in agronomy specialised in rice
- Experience in provision of technical agronomic advice
- Supporter of organic agriculture by conviction
- Experience (3 years or more) in development projects and working with small farmers
- Project management experience
- Excellent coordination skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Thai and English speaking and writing, able to write English reports independently
