Business Support Specialist (Coach)

Job Position: Business Support Specialist (Coach)

Company Name: ONOW Thailand

Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Reporting to: Enterprise Support Coordinator and the Project Manager

Working time: Full time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, flexible)

Salary Rate: Negotiable

Job Opening Date: Feb 2023 (8 month contract, extendable)

 

Purpose

ONOW is a leading social enterprise based in Myanmar and Thailand, with 10 years of operation providing business training, enabling financial capabilities, coaching individually, and offering digital support tools to those starting or operating small businesses.  We also promote entrepreneurship amongst the underserved community.  Join ONOW in supporting hundreds of small businesses around Thailand. The purpose of the Business Support Specialist (Coach) is to support and coach ONOW-trained customers to take action and adopt digital tools, start or grow their business, and connect with financial institutions and support organizations.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

The Coach will directly support small business owners around Thailand using ONOW tools and methods for entrepreneur support. The Coach will work with the Enterprise Support Coordinator to recruit, market, provide business coaching, and plan for the entire program delivery. He/She also collects data from customers, asks coaching questions for operational improvement, understands individual customer contexts, and reports on their successes and challenges.

  • Coaching phone calls and site visits to businesses

  • Support impact measurement and data collection

  • Recruit for, plan, and facilitate peer group meetings

  • Phone calling and scheduling meetings with clients

  • Conduct research and some limited analysis

  • Improve learning journey for the business customers

  • Support customer recruitment & marketing tasks

  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Skills Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree (recommended)

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Thai languages

  • Experience with the use of digital toools such as mobile phones, apps, and digital financial services

  • Basic understanding of business plan writing

  • Able to work from home (if necessary)

  • Willing to travel outside of Chiang Mai (if necessary)

  • Willing to carry out phone calls on evenings and work some Saturdays or Sundays (if necessary)

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets preferred

  • Possessing Facilitation skills
