RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Job Title: Human Resources and Project Administrator (20 hours per week), based in Chiang Mai office.

Duration: One year contract (with possibility of extension)

Responsibilities:

 

Handbook and Policies & Procedures

  • Identify and communicate to the relevant managers the legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Thailand HR functions.

  • Update the employment policies, procedures, and reporting in compliance with the legal requirements and government reporting regulations. 

  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs in a timely manner.

 

Salary and Benefit Administration and Budgeting

  • Advise administration on appropriate salary and benefit levels.

  • Assist with the annual budget preparation for human resources operation.

 

Employment Records and Reporting

  • Administer an annual employee performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within SIL Thailand.

  • Maintain records of the participation of employee benefit plan (such as PrakarnSangkhom, Provident Fund, etc), employment transactions such as hiring histories, job histories, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government (labor department) reporting.

  • Maintain records of vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance for internal group reporting.

 

Recruitment, Employment Process and Employee Relations

  • Assist with the recruitment and interview process with relevant managers in order to help select employees to fill vacant positions.

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward MSEAG goals involving appropriate MSEAG staff.

  • Advise supervisory staff in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues (i.e. cultural differences).

  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

 

Project and Event Coordination

  • Assists MSEAG Administration with special projects and events.   This may include the following:  

    • Coordination of meetings and venues. 

    • Staff professional development activities and workshops.

    • Serve on MSEAG Annual Conference planning committee.  

    • Represent SIL to government and other officials. 

    • Assist with other MSEAG-sponsored events as discussed and approved with Supervisor – venue arrangements, liaison with service providers, and assist with final billing. 

    • Available to assist with special needs as they arise (such as urgent or emergency situation, accidents or hospitalization involving personnel, etc).

    • Assist with other human resources projects as needed and discussed with Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Thai National. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. Have at least one – two years of relevant work experiences.

  • Have good knowledge of labor law.

  • Good command of written and spoken English. 

  • Attentive to detail and computer proficient

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Positive attitude and service minded. 

  • Have a desire to learn.
