Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)

THAILAND

 

ADRA has been working with vulnerable and marginalized communities in Thailand since 1984. ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action.

 

ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants for the position of HR Officer to work at our office in Chiang Mai province.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment process of all staff, in close collaboration with key personnel (Directors, Project Managers)
  • Supervise the work of the HR Assistant and IT Assistant
  • Ensure organization and completeness of HR record keeping
  • Coordinate visa and work permit process for expat staff
  • Oversee the separation process of staff at end of contract or termination, in close collaboration with key personnel (Directors, Project Managers)
  • Oversee staff performance management including assessment.
  • Promote a good working environment and good staff relationships
  • Support grievance and conflict resolution process
  • Prepare official request and response letters to government offices
  • Coordinate submission of camp and material passes to MOI
  • Oversee the orientation process for new staff
  • Participate as an invitee to ADCOM, raising and representing HR issues
  • Support submission of Report to MOI
  • Collect and suggest improvement to HR management policy and practice
  • Promote positive approaches to ensure that discriminatory practices do not occur within the work environment in any form
  • Participate in staff retreat organization committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:

 

Minimum Skills & Education Required:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in one or more of the following : Human Resources

 

 

Experience:

Preferred candidates are expected to fulfil the following:

  • Ability to work in a Christian context
  • Minimum of 2-year experience in HR positions
  • Aged 23+ years
  • Ability to successfully develop a human resource database and systems
  • Understanding of diversity in working environment
  • Ability to handle work efficiently and accurately under time constrains
  • Strong computer skills (Including Microsoft Office proficiency)
  • Current driver’s license for a car a must
  • Excellent public relation and communication skills
  • Hands on and able to perform work independently

 

Language Skills:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written Thai
  • Fluent in English is an advantage
