Text translation

The candidate shall;

• Translate training materials; curriculum, lessons and presentations from English to Thai
• Have knowledge of digital literacy or basic IT background including translating technical terms
• Convert content/concepts in the Thai to equivalent in English
• Provide adhoc Thai translation of meeting materials
• Have knowledge of CAT tools
• Manage work schedules to meet deadlines

Interpretation

The candidate shall;

• Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation in both Thai and English for the participants and facilitators at training events
• Translate presentations, discussions and group exercises during events
• Support participants in translation of technical terms related to the topic in both English and Thai upon requests
• Have knowledge of using interpreting equipment

Qualifications

The candidate should;

• Have a minimum bachelor'™s degree in Translation or at least 3 years of translation/interpretation experience
• Be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Thai with Thai, international participants in both individual and group level
• Be able to travel to regional countries or provinces in Thailand
• Have basic IT background and digital literacy would be plus
• Be responsible, punctual and understand confidentiality

Job Duration:

Ongoing basis - subject to programmatic needs

Job Location:

Text translation to take place in december and January

5-day conference in mid-January, dates and venue to be confirmed
