Feed the Future’s Asia Innovative Farmers Activity discovers, develops, and disseminates agricultural innovations throughout Asia.  The USAID/Winrock International project office is located in Bangkok, Thailand with country offices in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Nepal.  Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources.  

The Market Specialist will have proven experience in defining and conducting activities that enable agricultural innovators to reach rural markets and have technologies successfully adopted.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Collaborate with local partners to develop and expand outreach channels that cater to youth populations in target countries
• Conduct outreach activities with youth to identify topics and channels of the greatest interest
• Analyze channels and content to determine the most significant outreach activities
• Build partnerships with private sector actors, university representatives, NGOs, development projects, and other organizations to generate content, activities, and programming for outreach channels
• Identify revenue generation models for local channels such as fees for advertisers and content providers to access channels
• Conduct youth sourcing activities to engage youth and to identify viable innovations
• Generate reports, statistics, and success stories highlighting success of the project in engaging youth
• Represent the project at events to showcase youth and outreach activities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Experience and proven record of success in building platform for media outreach 
• Established contacts and network in the sector and internationally
• Extensive marketing and promotion experience
• Excellent English language skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Skilled at establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships 
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills 
• Education:  Master's Degree
• 5-10 years of experience

Location:  may be based in any S.E./South Asian country, preference for Bangkok, Thailand, regional travel
