The Suwannimit Foundation is a Thailand registered foundation dedicated to strengthening the operational capacity and programming impact of community-based organizations that service underprivileged people on the Thailand-Burma border.
We are seeking for a Health Coordinator who will lead our health projects in Mae Sod of Tak province. This role requires a person with a programmatic approach on its planning, implementation and monitoring of activities. The work heavily involves liaising between partners, NGOs, and government units; it therefore needs a person who is willing to be constantly engaged in meetings, workshops and other forms of collaborations. Job Specific
Role 1: Lead program planning and monitoring of health activities (25% FTE) 1. The Health Coordinator in consultation with the Program Director and Executive Director takes a lead in operational planning, monitoring and evaluation and review processes of health activities implemented and planned by partner organizations; 2. Assesses technical needs of health programs in collaboration with partner organizations to identify areas requiring assistance 3. He/she will help the Foundation identify areas of improvement, program mentoring, and perform research to produce recommendations for courses of action.
Role 2: Implementation of health programs (65% FTE) 1. Facilitate the implementation of the eye border health project and will provide trainings to target groups. This will also include assisting the Eye Consultant during eye operations. 2. Organize and assist partner organizations in health related program implementation including training, overseeing work, and establishing and evaluating appropriate performance standards in accordance with health program objectives; 3. Liaise, develop and maintain excellent relationships among partners and networks, other professionals and government officers esp. public health officers;
Role 3: Assist in the development of proposals (10% FTE) 1. In collaboration with the Program Director and Grants Manager, the Health Coordinator will contribute to the development of funding plan through developing the funding opportunities and partnerships, concept notes and proposals; General

SUWANNIMIT FOUNDATION
Clinical Consultant
TERMS OF REFERENCE

 


Suwannimit Foundation, in partnership with the Mae Sod Hospital (MSH), agreed to work together in expanding access to health care services for Burmese patients and communities by assigning a Clinical Consultant within the hospital. This consultancy will initially be for three months and will be renewed until such time that MSH is ready to directly take over the consultancy.
Task Summary: The Clinical Consultant will be stationed at the MSH where she/he will be providing health care services to migrant population along the Thailand-Myanmar border. She/He will also be involved in working with health posts and will be participating in activities providing health education to migrant communities.
On some cases, the Clinical Consultant will be assisting Mae Tao Clinic (MTC) and other health providers to follow up their medical referral cases in MSH and also support hospital in providing feedback on those referral cases.


Job Responsibilities:


1. Under supervision by the MSH Director, assist MSH staff in providing health care services at Out-Patient Department and STI clinic, participating in disease prevention and control activities as well as health promotion to migrants from Myanmar;
2. Supervise Burmese Nurse in performing assigned activities;
3. Assess the perspective of MSH staff on medical cases referred from MTC and their concerns as well as their recommendations and provide feedback and concerns from MSH staff to MTC’s clinical management team;
4. Coordinate with MTC’s management and referral staff in following up the patients referred to MSH and provide technical support as needed especially in dealing with complicated cases;
5. Attend external meeting as requested by MSH;
6. Submit monthly report to Suwannimit Foundation.
Requirement:
1. Degree in Medical Doctor
2. At least 2 year experiences as General Physician, preferably in hospital
3. With medical license
4. Fluent in Burmese and English both writing and speaking
5. Good communication, interpersonal skills
6. Good computer skills esp. word, excel and internet
