About the role

Join ONOW in supporting hundreds of small businesses around Thailand. The purpose of the Business Support Specialist (Coach) is to observe, monitor, and support ONOW-trained customers to adopt digital tools, start or grow their business, and connect with financial institutions and support organisations.
 

Responsibilities

The Coach will directly support small business owners around Thailand using ONOW tools and methods for entrepreneur support. The Coach will work with the Enterprise Support Coordinator to recruit, market, provide business coaching, and plan for the entire program delivery. The Coach also collects data on customers, asks coaching questions for operational improvement, understands individual customer contexts, and reports on their successes and challenges.

  • Small Business Coaching

    • Coaching Phone Calls and Site Visits to Businesses

    • Impact Measurement and Data Collection

    • Recruit for, plan, and Facilitate Peer Group Meetings

    • Phone Calling and Scheduling

    • Conduct Research and some limited Analysis

    • Provide Support to Special Projects

    • Improving learning journey for the business customers

    • Contribute to Customer Recruitment efforts

    • Tasks also may include assisting in marketing ad copy, digital marketing, and traditional marketing for various audiences

 

Skills needed and requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Thai languages

  • Willing to learn Coaching methods

  • Understand the use of Digital Tools such as Mobile Phones and Apps

  • Experience with the use of Digital Financial Services

  • Basic understanding of Business Plan Writing

  • Willing to travel

  • Willing to work some Saturdays or Sundays

  • Willing to carry out phone calls in the evening (if necessary)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets preferred

  • Flexible

  • Possessing Facilitation skills

 

Reporting and Management

This position reports to the Enterprise Support Coordinator and the Project Manager. This position is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand .
