Position: Project Manager
Job Overview: The AEMDP Program manager is responsible for the overall operations of AEMDP, ensuring quality of project implementation and supervision of project activities according to project plan goal and plan.
Responsibilities:
Project Design
o Develop logical framework, budget, and detailed plan with management team and project staffs
o Draft budget and workplan annually
o Identify stakeholders, objective / problem tree analysis.
o Develop Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting tool and system.
o Ensure collecting of baseline data and completion of baseline analysis before and after
implementations
Project Management
o Ensure proper project implementation according to log-frame and workplan
o Ensure proper project staff supervision
o Overall responsibility of quality and timely implementation of project activities
o Responsible for quality and timely quarterly, annually, and financial report and upload into
Microsoft team
o Evaluate the performance of staffs
o Coach staff in designing activities and tacking the problem encountered in project implementation
o Support management team in project evaluation
o Attend quarterly project management team meeting
Accountability to Program Director
o Able to design new activities in response to the change in project target area in consultation with Program Director
o Initially develop workplan and budget in consultation with Program Director
o Compile all monthly project staffs timesheet/task sheet, monthly workplan and updates monthly project team workplan to Director.
o Perform other tasks as required by ITDF Director
Finances
o Ensure transparent and correct project related financial transaction and recording
o Overall responsibility on project expenditure and budget control
o Submit monthly budget request for project activities by monthly basis
Funding
o Able to develop proposal for finding donation at least 100,000 Baht per year, as in cash or in kind
for ITDF projects
o Able to develop project brochures and prepare project presentation
Implementation (Village Level) & Coordination
o Commit to strengthen “self-Help Groups” in project target area
o Lead meeting with villagers or committee at least twice a year
o Ensure close communication and good relationship with villagers and related local agricultural agencies
Training and Extension Center
o Plant Propagation
o Market Outlets
o Lead team in developing & compiling activity concept notes, curriculum, and IEC materials for training/workshop.
o Ensure the completion of trainings provided to villagers in project target area
o Monitor all project activities (Demonstration, Extension, and Training Center) with submission of monitoring report
o Ensure well management of extension project in hostels and schools
o Ensure the smooth operation of demonstration center & coffee extension projects
Monitoring & Evaluation (Data Collection)
o Ensure responsibility of staffs in data and survey collection process
o Assist program activities advisor in data and survey collection
o Able to analyze project data and share with staffs
o Ensure database are properly recorded and timely flow to program management team
o Ensure the compilation of success story and quarterly submit to project management team
Qualification & Experiences
Management
o 5 plus years in a management role
o Leadership skills
o Experience in managing budget.
o Project management skills
o Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills
Communication, Coordination, Implementation, and Analytical Skill
o Experience in working with hill tribe communities
o Able to build up relationship and network with stakeholders and partners organization
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgment and decisions
o Good communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
o Proactive, resourceful, creative &team orientated
o Capacity and experiences to facilitate trainings
Language
o Written and oral communication skills in Thai and English, and ethnic language (Lahu, Karen & other) is an asset.
Education
o Master in a related Agricultural Extension, Rural Development NGO management at the executive level.
o Understanding / experience is coffee production/management/harvesting/marketing
Computer Skills
o Good computer knowledge (Microsoft office team, Word, Excel, Outlook, and database program is asset)
Driving
o 4WD driving skills
