Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need more than 40 countries globally. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as Support Unit Manager
Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province
Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts when visiting field locations.
Duration: One year (with possible extension of contract)
Salary range: 60,000 THB (+ benefits)
Main Responsibilities and Duties (shortened version)
- Supervise and lead the Thailand Program Support Unit (Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Administration, and IT Officers) to timely provide support to the Program, and reports to HQ.
- Ensure finance and logistics teams provide efficient and timely support to the program in compliance with applicable finance, logistical and procurement procedures and guidelines.
- Responsible for financial monitoring, spending analysis and reporting on all budgets.
- Supervise, monitor, and analyze all support unit functions, capacities, and collaboration with an aim to provide guidance on how to improve performance if and where needed.
- Provide overall authorization for processes within the Support Unit.
- Carry out capacity development trainings with the support unit teams and/or program team.
- Ensure proper filing of financial, logistic and procurement documents in accordance with MI rules and regulations on location an online storage system (one drive and Sharepoint).
- Support the Country Representative with budget development, amendments, and consolidations.
- Ensure effective financial reporting oversight and support for (local) partners, in close collaboration with relevant senior responsible MI coordinators.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Master’s degree in relevant field with additional training on logistics operations
- Proven expertise in finance field, preferably with a few years within the development or humanitarian context.
- Experienced with online financial reporting systems
- Well experienced with procurement, preferably within development or humanitarian sector.
- Experience in working with stock warehouse management, supply chain, inventory control and transport coordination.
- Proven experience in general office administration
- Good at and simultaneously focusing admin, finance, and logistic fields
- Familiarity with IT operations and being computer literate especially in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent command of English and Thai, both spoken and written.
