Job Title: Programme Coordinator

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented and proactive Programme Coordinator to join our SEI Asia office. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth functioning of our research clusters, with responsibility for managing and developing budgets, contributing to fundraising, monitoring and evaluation of projects, and supporting cluster activities. You will work with researchers in the Urban Cluster and the Policy Cluster and support them in their project management, as well as working closely with the SEI Asia Head of Operations.
Key duties and responsibilities include
Working closely with the research cluster leads to ensure that projects are properly financed and managed, and to ensure efficient resource allocation
Working with the Head of Operations to ensure that cluster finances and staff time allocation are adequately planned for and managed throughout the year
Ensuring that centre project management and centre time management systems are updated for assigned clusters in a timely and regular manner
Preparing and maintaining project budgets based on sound resource allocation methodology, ensuring these are updated and proposing corrective action where deviations occur
Ensuring monthly project budgets and financial reports are prepared for and approved by project managers, as well as managing invoices and financial reporting for donors
Preparing proposal budgets and supporting cluster fundraising activities
Developing and maintaining annual project implementation plans and undertaking monitoring, evaluation and learning of cluster projects in line with centre and SEI HQ strategy
Assisting in cluster activities such as building and expanding strategic partnerships, preparing documents, identifying funding opportunities and other relevant tasks.

Who you are
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual, who pays close attention to detail and is able to plan ahead. You should be able to multi-task and work under pressure, and have excellent knowledge of budget planning and resource management and the associated softwares.
As this is an essential role for the smooth functioning of our research activities, you should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Experience of working in an internaitonal non-profit or research institute will be an advantage.
Formal qualifications and knowledge
A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business administration or a related field
At least 5 years of experience (Bachelor’s) or 3 years (Master’s) working in administration and coordination on diverse and complex projects
Strong experience of budgeting and management of resources
Experience in organising events and logistics
Strong command of English, written and spoken
Experience of budgeting and project management systems and the Office 365 Suite
Experience of the sustainable development or environment sector is an advantage.

Strong coordination and organizational skills with an ability to plan ahead and multi-task
Able to take the initiative and be accountable and adaptable
A professional attitude, skilled at working in a team with a respect for diversity.
