Empowering Inclusive Humanitarian Action: A 2-Day Regional Training based on the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards
Join us for a crucial 2-Day Regional Training on Empowering Inclusive Humanitarian Action, based on the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards (HIS), on December 6-7, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.
Why This Training Matters? In today's complex humanitarian landscape, the needs and rights of older people and persons with disabilities are often overlooked in emergencies across the Asia-Pacific. This training introduces the HIS, a practical framework aligned with the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) and Sphere Handbook, to ensure no one is left behind in humanitarian response.
What You'll Walk Away With: By the end of the training, you will be able to:
Understand the critical importance of age and disability inclusion in humanitarian response.
Navigate the structure and core principles of the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards (HIS).
Identify and apply the nine HIS standards for including older people and people with disabilities across programme cycles.
Use the Age and Disability Organizational Assessment Tool to foster inclusive practices within your organisation.
Who is This For? This training is open for all but is particularly useful for Inclusion Advisors, Programme Managers, Technical Coordinators (e.g., Protection, Health, Livelihoods), and MEAL staff.
