Information Session: Request for Assistance for Establishing, Operating, and Maintaining the Center for Competitive Procurement

USAID Southeast Asia’s Smart Power Program (SPP) is planning to issue a Request for Assistance (RFA) to select an organization which will establish, operate, and maintain a Center for Competitive Procurement. The selected organization will be awarded a grant of up to USD 1 million. This Center for Competitive Procurement will be established as a central clearinghouse for best-practices and technical assistance aimed at increasing the use of transparent, competitive practices for the procurement of advanced energy technologies and clean energy in Southeast Asia. SPP invites you to attend an information session on the objectives of the Center, the grant application process, and the selection criteria, on March 8, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:30 AM ICT via Zoom.

 

Eligible organizations are:

  • Local non-governmental organizations legally registered and based in Thailand. Institutions of higher education, legally registered and based in Thailand, may be eligible if their charter permits receipt of international donor grant funds.

USAID Southeast Asia’s Smart Power is a five-year program that will expand energy capacity through deployment of advanced energy systems, increase investment into the region’s energy sector, and improve regional energy trade to ensure secure and market-driven energy sectors that sustain economic growth. The program will leverage bilateral and trilateral partnerships, support regional initiatives, address cross-border issues, and create centers for training of energy sector staff to develop solutions that will help Southeast Asian countries become self-reliant and achieve their sustainable development aspirations.
