Finance and Administration Officer (FAO)

in Chiang Mai

 

The IOGT-NTO Movement Sweden is currently looking for a new Finance and Administration officer to our regional office in South East Asia, located in Chiang Mai. The region have currently eleven partner organisation that we support in six countries: Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Our head quarter is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and beside the regional offices in South-East Asia we also have one in East Africa. 
Together with our partners we work in South-East Asia, East Africa, Balkans and Sri Lanka with policy and advocacy and community development to reduce the harm from alcohol and other drugs. 

Role:

The main role for this position is to ensure that IOGT-NTO Movement Sweden Regional Office South East Asia (ROSEA) conforms to the standards required of financial, administration, resource management, logistics and office procedures. To achieve this assignment, it includes involving partners in the process and assist partners to build capacity to ensure international and national donors demands related to accounts and administration. To understand and analyses instructions from donors and in a pedagogic way explain this for our partners. Travels in the region are required as part of the assignment.

 

You report directly to the Regional Director of ROSEA at the Chiang Mai office. You will be responsible for the finance and internal control, administration, accounts and partner support. Specific tasks include:

  • To review and analyse the financial reports from partner organisation
  • To review and analyse audit reports from partners
  • Accounts processing (QuickBooks) and reconciliation
  • Payroll
  • Financial management reports
  • Budgeting
  • External reporting
  • Grant management
  • Administration (legal documents, facilitating registration process etc)
  • Office management
  • Partner support related to your role

 

Education:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in finance or similar subjects

 

 

Skills required:

  • Documented accounting qualifications
  • Experience of being audited and responding to auditors’ queries
  • Experience of financial reporting to donors
  • Experience of grant management
  • Experience of liaising with authorities and government
  • Advanced knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent in Thai and English, orally and written.

 

Skills desirable:

  • At least three years’ experience of QuickBooks
  • Experience as an FAO from an International NGO
